Houston Nightclub Review – Rich’s & Roxy
I am very fortunate and thankful to hold club residencies at two of Houston’s Largest and Longest running nightclubs. Thursday nights at Rich’s and Friday nights at Roxy is where you can find me in Houston when I am not touring or traveling. Both clubs are big rooms that can easily hold over 1000 people on any given night. Both venues bring in some of the best Talent, DJ’s, Performers, to the city of Houston. However, each club has their own distinct personality which differentiates the two.
Rich’s – located at 2401 San Jacinto in Midtown Houston has been serving clubbers since 1983.
The venue is a two-story, multi-room, Big room club that could hold it’s own with some of the big clubs in NY and LA. Thus, Rich’s continues to be the venue for some of the top DJ Talents and touring destination. DJ AM, Tiesto, John Digweed, Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten, DJ Enferno, Bad Boy Bill, Danny Teneglia, Victor Calderone, and many more to name have played here over the years. Rich’s also continues to be one of the longest running after-hours nightclubs in Houston. You can expect the party to continue on a Sunday morning until 8-9am.
Thursday nights at Rich’s is the largest 18+ College night in the city. We also broadcast LIVE on Houston’s Hot 95.7. You can check out this video.
The Legendary Roxy Houston has consistently been one of the Top Nightclubs in America. Voted consecutively for 3 years in the Top 100 U.S. Nightclubs by Nightclub & Bar Magazine and only one of three clubs representing Houston (The other two owned by the same Corporation – Triangle), it’s no wonder why the Roxy brand is known. Not many clubs in Houston can boast such long term success. Located at 5351 W. Alabama right inside the Galleria, the Roxy’s easy to find location has made it a destination club for over two decades.
When it opened it’s doors as the Roxy November 24, 1994, they started a trend in providing top notch service and entertainment. Serving generations of club goers, most have walked thru the doors of the Roxy. The Early Roxy had one of the largest Fish Tanks inside a nightclub (which was on stage) and had a huge open dancefloor with state of the art lighting and sound. Today the fish tank is gone but it’s still one of the largest dance floors in the city. The Roxy over the years has had celebrities, artists, perform on it’s stage such as Prince, NSYNC, Goo Goo Dolls, Avirl Lavigne, La Bouche, Pitbull, to name a few.
Friday nights at the Roxy we broadcast LIVE on Hot 95.7 along with Kaden. It is THE largest 18+up party in Houston on a Friday night where we do well over 1000 people. Come see for yourself.
